I've been experiencing some strange connectivity problems when using mendeley desktop and the web.
On mendeley desktop whenever I am at home it seems I can sync metadata but the moment a file is queued for upload or download it stays like that for a long time and either nothing happens or I get a server error message without any information or failure code. The most informative I ever got was "Server error 500" or "There was a problem contacting mendeley.com to sync your library - upload progress: 245760 of 4756506".
What is even weirder is that if I try to access mendeley via the web, I can browse the websites, the blog, the support, etc. However if I try to login, the browser also hangs and I either see a timeout message or it spins forever.
In the browser what I do is to access the login page. I fill in my details, hit Sign in and the it just sits there telling me it's signing in but going nowhere.
On the other hand, if I use a VPN to connect to my institution, then I no longer have these problems and everything works as expected.
The main difference from my connection at home is that it primarily works over IPv6 and IPv4 is accessed through a gateway. I could imagine this being a problem for the desktop client if a connection had to be established from the server side but I cannot understand why the web access also doesn't work.
What is even more annoying about the web is that once I try to login, all mendeley (sub-)websites that have any kind of authentication suddenly also hang. I can only assume some cookie is redirecting to the signin server which then causes the hanging problem. Clearing all browser cookies and restarting the browser reverts this last problem but I'm still not authenticated.
I should also say that this is 100% reproducible.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Can someone from the Mendeley support team comment on this?

Request to authenticate my account leads to "no internet connection" message
Update shows "SSL handshake failed" - I tried changing IgnoreSSLErrors to "true" and restarted, also reinstalled Mendeley Desktop, still having the problem.
Also I cannot synch my desktop library to bring over the files on my web client.
I am teaching a class on this to graduate students so this problem is very frustrating!

lost my data base
Recently I wanted to add some papers to the data base, but forgot my password. When I requested a new one and re-entered my account I was aghast to find my entire data base was had vanished. I don't know if it is still somewhere or if I have to start all over again. Can this happen normally when only changing your password. Obviously I must have done something wrong, it is possible to undo this error?

Problem entering professional experience
I am in the process of updating my account and when I tried to update my professional experience I found out that the Constitutions I am currently employed is not listed. How can I add my institution to this list? We started using Mendeley in our institute and all of my colleagues are facing the same problem.

I wish to have a unique account 'giovanni-macedonio', but associated with email 'giovanni.macedonio@ingv.it'

Merging original mendeley account and the account generated by elsevier
I had the same problem described in http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/16279325-merging-original-mendeley-account-and-the-account-generated-by-elsevier
Therefore, I followed the suggestions given for your agent i.e, exported the content from one Mendeley account (in .ris) and imported in the account with Elsevier login details.
However, the folders I originally created do not show up after the importation. Thus, my library now is completely disorganized. How can I solve this issue?

I have some problem with my account. I have two Mendeley accounts.
Even when I deleted my account, affiliated with serdarcicek@nevsehir.edu.tr, Mendeley website continue to show me an error "This e-mail address is already used in Mendeley",

Cannot access the total number of documents in group folder
I created a group folder that should contain 2262 documents. When I select one document, it says I have selected 1 of 2262 documents. However, when I select all of the documents, Mendeley says that I have only selected 2255 of 2262 documents. Why can I not select all 22262 documents? Any help would be appreciated!

unable to log in
Hello,
Since a couple of weeks, Mendeley Desktop has not able to connect. And then, when I sign out I can't log in anymore. Apparently the password is not correct. The same thing happens on Mendeley web. So I go and reset my password and everything works fine for Mendeley web and Mendeley desktop. But the next day the same problem re-occurs. Mendeley desktop says it can't connect, and when I want to fill in my details it rejects the password I set just the previous day.

Reset Password not Working
I'm posting this issue on behalf of my supervisor. She can't sign in to her account and tried the forgot password option many times but does not receive the
password reset link.
She knows the email address is right because she had received email notification to the address in the past and I can see that her account exists.
She has contacted support@mendeley.com but has not received any answer.

Forgotten password and yet to receive return email
Dear whom it may concern,
I have forgotten my password for my Mendeley account, clicked on the link “forgotten my password” and entered in my email address, yet I have still not received a link permitting me to reset my password. I have completed this process several times since Wednesday (3 days ago). Further, I have contacted yourselves via email twice with no reply.
This level of service is simply unacceptable. I will be seriously considering my use of your platform. Please may this issue be fixed ASAP.

Password Mendeley desktop and web are different?
Dear,
I had to reinstall Mendeley software due to a change of laptop and forgot my password, so I requested to reset my password. This worked, I can now login to Mendeley Web. However, I don't succeed to log in on Mendeley Desktop. The e-mail of my password reset tells me I have to change my password in the account settings of Mendeley Desktop, however: how can I do this if I cannot access Mendeley Desktop?

Gateway Timeout (504) error persistently for the past month or so
This error seems to be long term with my library--it has been around for a month or more. Happens every time I reboot / reopen Mendeley, and on different computers as well.
Error message:
